Job Description

This is a remote position and can work from home. We ask that you live near a major metropolitan airport.


Main Objective:


Provide formal technical and clinical support during the sales process within in the North American geographic region for the muscular skeletal (MSK) market segment. Responsibilities may include providing required pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support) and post-sale installation, training and/or customer service activities and ongoing customer support, including on site clinical in-servicing and go-live support.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of current and classic concepts in sonography (with a special emphasis on musculoskeletal sonography), the Arthrex product line, and clinical procedures supported by Arthrex products related to sonography; be able to articulate and demonstrate sonography concepts and procedures to Arthrex employees, business partner representatives and healthcare professional customers

  • Provide product line expertise for demonstrations both at Arthrex INC as well as remotely through the North American market.

  • Provide technical and clinical leadership during sales process by demonstrating full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed

  • Assist I & R Regional Sales Managers with scheduling and facilitating ultrasound demonstrations

  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies

  • Produce well-written post-training reports and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs

  • Routinely strategizes with internal team prior to educational/training events 

  • Identify customers to discuss education needs with and propose education plans 

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver product training to customers on software, application and/or equipment use, monitor customer installations within assigned territory/region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships

  • Assist with reviewing written and digital material developed by Product Management to advise on clinical accuracy of these materials.

  • Build and Maintain Relationships - Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers at all levels in the buying organization, within his/her organization (the service & sales teams and corporate), and within the industry. 

  • Improve customer satisfaction and product knowledge retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customer

  • Understand Customer Requirements and Provide Consultancy - Utilizes discipline and critical thinking in the definition and analysis of customer needs and proposes solutions to those issues. 

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and promotion as well as customer training

  • Assist the Customer Service Department to provide clinical and technical support for customers service needs.

  • Follow up with pertinent persons on a regular basis

  • Assist with sales training

  • Up to 75% travel

  • Must be willing to work with cadavers.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification with 3 years of relevant work experience in MSK (Musculo Skeletal) Ultrasound or RMSK/RMSKS (Registered Musculo Skeletal Sonography) subspecialty certification through APCA (Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement) required.



Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:



  • Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)

  • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)

  • Experience in MSK Ultrasound curriculum development related to Healthcare providers and agency representatives

  • Superb organizational skills and proven ability to successfully manage multitude of tasks, projects and information simultaneously.

  • Ability to teach and develop training materials is necessary.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.

  • Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve

  • Must be able to work independently and also be team-oriented, reliable and dependable.

  • Must have excellent computer and Internet skills.



Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:


PCs and have a command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word plus any additional communications equipment as needed.
