Please Note: This a fulltime summer internship that is not benefit eligible.

Main Objective:

To assist Buyer/Planner Arthroplasty/Total Joint Team with production needs, while employing supply chain principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating SAP planned orders and purchase order requirements, in order to release Production Orders for manufacturing.  This will include opportunities to develop understanding of inventory flow & practical supply chain principles.
  • Collaborate inter-departmentally to help resolve quality, engineering, and accounting issues.
  • Obtain experiences working with external suppliers in efforts to improve on-time deliveries, return on investments, and open order/status reporting.
  • Help Total Joint/Arthroplasty Supply Chain Team to improve departmental efficiencies and effectiveness, while learning about Arthrex products and mission in Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better.
  • Work with team to further develop and improve Laser Work Center Queue throughput.
  • Contribute to help complete regular inventory and resolve related discrepancies to investments.
  •  Collaborate inter-departmentally to help implement new product launch and process flows.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree majoring in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
