Main Objective:

Perform general accounting duties, in conjunction with fixed asset reconciliation and reconciliation, for multiple companies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain fixed asset software updates
  • Performing asset creation, disposal, multiple book depreciation, gain/loss calculations, intercompany transfers, reconciliation from accounting softwar to the fixed asset software for multiple companies
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts and intercompany balances
  • Assist with preparing year-end audit documents.
  • Assist with requests from Corporate Tax department

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required plus one year of work experience in a small or mid-size business environment.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/ Specialized Courses and/or Training:

General knowledge of fixed asset accounting. Basic understanding of Balance Sheet and Income Statement account relationships and standard US GAAP required. General knowledge and experience in fixed asset reporting and depreciation methods required.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with SAP and Sage FAS a plus. Proficiency in standard relational database report writers a plus. Intermediate to advanced expertise in Microsoft office applications required. Prior experience with ERP system based accounting required.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form. Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
