Main Objective:

Design, architecture, implementation, monitoring, administration, and support of multiple regional SharePoint implementations.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and recommend SharePoint solutions, upgrades, and services for streamlining and system improvements.
  2. Support of software and periodic maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation and upgrades, Tier 2 & 3 support.
  3. Support multiple locations worldwide (domestic and international travel may be required).
  4. Complete GIS operational tasks, project tasks, and end user support duties as assigned.
  5. Lead the architecture and design of infrastructure SharePoint solutions following selected implementation methodology.
  6. Lead high-profile, mission-critical GIS projects and project teams.
  7. Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 2& 3.
  8. Maintain accurate updated documentation while performing essential job duties.
  9. Liaison with internal business partners, vendors, and external partners and resources.
  10. Assist other analyst with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes.
  11. Ability to train other staff and contract resources on technical operations.
  12. Provides mentorship to others in the department.
  13. Assist management with strategic GIS alignment and project management.
  14. Expected to resolve and take ownership of issues with minimal management involvement.
  15. Subject matter expert on the operation, maintenance, management, and deployment of multiple SharePoint infrastructure /software solutions.
  16. Significant experience with Cloud concepts such as PaaS, SaaS, IaaS and the merits/complexities of each model especially in a SharePoint environment.

    Education and Experience:

    Minimum of eight years of experience in supporting SharePoint infrastructure, SharePoint ecosystem applications, and integrations.

    Minimum of 2 major projects upgrading or migrating from a lower version or edition SharePoint to a newer more featured edition/version.

    Minimum two years experience leading junior staff in completing day-to-day operational tasks and/or enterprise scale projects required.

    Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred – one of these must be in a computer science-related field.

    Computer infrastructure-centered certifications required.

    Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job preferred.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
