Senior Messaging Administrator with Exchange experience

  • Responsible for end-to-end Microsoft Exchange administration and associated technologies in the Messaging area
  • L2/L3 support of global Microsoft Exchange environments
  • L2/L3 support for cloud based Airwatch MDM environment including device setup, Enterprise wipe, email client setup and troubleshooting
  • Significant experience with archiving (Capax Global EAS), journaling, and legal hold/discovery tenets
  • Maintenance tasks of exchange environment (disk space, large files, virus cleanout, etc)
  • Developing and executing projects from platform roadmap utilizing Arthrex’s SDLC
  • Guiding and directing project and L1 resources in ensuring platform stability and service delivery
  • Ensuring health of system by performing day to day maintenance tasks such as:
    • Applying security updates (OS and services)
    • Check application, system, event, AV, and spam logs
    • Manage and test backups
    • Check backup logs for execution
    • Periodically perform simulated restorations
    • Manage Exchange storage
    • Manage quotas
    • Move mailboxes
    • Provision additional storage w/Server Storage and Virtualization Team
    • Monitor capacity
  • Manage 3rd party applications and services (email archiving, anti-virus and spam filtering via Barracuda)
  • L2/L3 Experience administrating and managing Airwatch MDM and MAM

Main Objective:

Architecture, design, implementation, monitoring, administration, and support of computer infrastructure systems, services, and applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades, and services for streamlining and system improvements.
  2. Support of hardware/software maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation and upgrades, Tier 3 support.
  3. Support multiple locations worldwide (domestic and international travel may be required).
  4. Complete GIS operational tasks, project tasks, and end user support duties as assigned.
  5. Lead the architecture and design of infrastructure solutions and methodology.
  6. Lead high-profile, mission-critical GIS projects and project teams.
  7. Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 3.
  8. Maintain accurate updated documentation while performing essential job duties.
  9. Liaison with internal business partners, vendors, and external partners and resources.
  10. Assist other analyst with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes.
  11. Ability to train other staff on technical operations.
  12. Provides mentorship to others in the department.
  13. Assist management with strategic GIS alignment and project management.
  14. Expected to resolve and take ownership of issues without management involvement.
  15. Subject matter expert on the operation, maintenance, management, and deployment of multiple computer infrastructure hardware/software solutions.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of eight years of experience in supporting computer infrastructure hardware, applications, and systems required.

Minimum two years experience leading junior staff in completing day-to-day operational tasks and/or enterprise scale projects required.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred – one of these must be in a computer science-related field.

Computer infrastructure-centered certifications required.

Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
