Main Objective:

The Sr. Business Analyst Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain position works directly with business departments within Arthrex to build and manage a pipeline of Information Technology projects and enhancements. A successful candidate must have relevant experience defining and operating business processes in the following areas: Procduct Management, Engineering, PLM, Change Control, and Distribution. The position liaises with the technical organization to determine the timing and cost of specific projects, also engages in process improvement efforts to optimize the effectiveness of technology investments. This position also works with business in gathering requirements, project management and communication liaison with Business Users..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and participates in review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs.
  2. Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies, analyze business process potentials for streamlining and improvements in efficiencies
  3. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team, establishing project budget
  4. Capable to provide functional training in the following areas and technologies: ERP/SAP, DMS/D2, PLM, PDM and Labeling Systems
  5. Coordinate with business users and technical teams the authoring of Unit Aceptance Testing scripts and able to manage execution and defect management. Facilitate SQA abnd CSV cycles
  6. Systematic updating and creation of system documentation, business process documentation, and end user documentation.
  7. Benchmark current and future processes against best industry practices.
  8. Develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives for enablement of new capabilities.
  9. Translate business goals and objectives into strategic business capabilities.  
  10. Engage in efforts to establish scope and business case for new programs and initiatives.
  11. Accountable for adoption of solutions by sponsoring business departments.
  12. Provide the methodology, standards and tools for efficient and effective program management.
  13. Project Management and mentorship of junior-level analysts
  14. Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  15. Up to 20% travel required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or related field required. Masters degree in Business or Engineering preferred
  • At least Eight years experience within a business function (Engineering/Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality) with business analysis or business process improvement activity required.
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of an ERP and PLM systems is required, preferable SAP Enterprise Suite.
  • Previous position in Pharma or Medical Device industry is required.
  • Experience with Validation and Qualification processes under 21 CFR 820 industry settings.
  • Experience working in a projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure a plus

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • In depth knowledge of several business functions and related software applications. SAP and Oracle Agile preferred.
  • SAP Solutions Manager or HP Application Lifecycle Management is required.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP and partner software applications.
