Main Objective:

The Business Process Analyst Sr, Labeling Operations works closely with global labeling and international logistical operations to capture and document multi-threaded process requirements. Additionally, the Business Process Analyst works with the global labeling operations CoE team to assist in supporting an integrated view of the global labeling organization using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, available industry standard techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document requirements that support global labeling operations business strategies.
  • Champion the tactical and strategic enterprise labeling goals that provide product traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing global governance.
  • Support the primary business functions of the global enterprise labeling and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions.
  • Ascertain the requirements that support strategic, core operational and support processes in order to transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and document needs and provide customer support for external entities such as customers, suppliers, agencies and subsidiaries.
  • Define value stream mapping shared across the enterprise and the relationships between dependent business processes.
  • Support business intelligence and report KPIs for production printing and scanning system performance.
  • Proactively identify and report problems, assessment risks and recommend solutions for customer support efficiency improvements.
  • Up to 40% international and domestic travel required.
  • May supervise/coach other members of the team

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; masters degree preferred.
  • 8 years relevant experience required.
  • Experience in a business systems analysis or communications role interfacing with multiple functional groups and stakeholders is desirable.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated industry is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a complex global business environment with multi-language requirements.
  • Extensive experience supporting both functional business and enterprise initiatives.
  • Project management experience is desired.
  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Labeling development and design experience is a plus.
  • SAP and Agile experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Advanced skills with Excel, Access, and other desk top applications.
  • Must have advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain business/technical documentation is required.
  • Strong situational analysis and business issue identification abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise information systems desired.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and a rapidly changing environment.
  • Competent in handling multiple tasks with attention to detail, and perform duties with minimal supervision
  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation, specifications & other illustrations and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority label operations issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as simplifying complex visualizations.
  • Ability to understand, support and convey assimilation of enterprise labeling initiatives that are coupled with business processes and work flow automation strategies.
  • Must be familiar with Engineering Change Order Systems and Product Labeling Systems.
  • Understanding international regulatory requirements related to medical device labeling is a plus.
  • The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs and constraints of the global labeling operations business to key stakeholders, master data owners and other subject matter experts.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
