Main Objective:

The Senior Business Analyst – Legal and Contract Management position works directly with business departments within Arthrex to build and manage a pipeline of Information Technology projects and enhancements with mentorship from the Business Solutions Manager and Enterprise Architecture.  A successful candidate must have experience defining and operating business processes in one of the following areas: Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Legal, or Corporate Communications.  The position liaises with the technical organization to determine the timing and cost of specific projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Elicit requirements using interviews, group facilitation, prototyping, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
  2. Perform data analysis and review business rules with the business stakeholders to refine requirements.
  3. Translate the business requirements and business rules into source to target data mappings.
  4. Compose and maintain business requirements and functional design documents.
  5. Compose and maintain data lineage and data dictionary documents based on analysis of data sources.
  6. Review business requirements and functional design with data modelers (designers), data developers, and business SMEs to ensure the data needs and business rules are accurately captured, understood and delivered.
  7. Review defined physical data models, solution design documents for consistency and traceability to requirements.
  8. Manage functional testing cycles including test planning, script development, status reporting, and test execution.
  9. Support user acceptance testing and manage end to end issue resolution cycle.
  10. Provide deployment, training, and change management support to business users.
  11. Serve as an expert resource on the contract management system, facilitated on Apttus, deployed on the Salesforce platform.
  12. Demonstrate a willingness to learn operational and technical aspects for all contract types and lifecycle.
  13. Up to 20% travel required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline, with 8+ years of related information systems experience and 4+ years in Salesforce.com deployments and Apttus CLM managed package.  
  • Strong background in business process analysis, requirements, and design, as well as data modeling and detailed functional design.
  • Proven ability to handle many diverse projects at once and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to meet responsibilities with minimal direct supervision.
  • Accountable team player with a constructive attitude, problem-solving and customer service mindset.
  • Excellent team player and able to work with virtual cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce in an enterprise setting is required.
  • Previous position in Pharma or Medical Device industry a plus.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Experience with the Salesforce product suite, including: Sales, Service, Apptus CLM, and the Force.com platform.
  • Experience with Apttus CLM in an enterprise setting is required.
  • Apttus Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) certification preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP and partner software applications.
