The person in this positon needs to live near a major metropolitan airport anywhere in the US.

Main Objective:

The National Business Manager – Veterinary for North America will be responsible for the education of US and Canadian agencies on Arthrex’s Veterinary products, related science, and customer educational tools and strategies to increase their competency in consulting surgeons and customers on Arthrex’s Veterinary products.  They will work directly with Veterinary specialists and sales managers in each agency to travel and visit key accounts with them or their team members. They will monitor and track the prioritization of Veterinary products within each agency, in coordination with the regional sales management teams, assisting in the development of sales strategies to increase awareness and consulting opportunities to grow, with an overall goal of meeting the annual overall, agency, and product sales targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Associate Regional Managers, and agency sales management to uncover and close opportunities with key accounts and surgeon customers
  • Support Veterinary Product Development Team by working closely with key customers and identifying new surgeon consultants 
  • Build relationships with major Veterinary centers nationally
  • Provide educational/sales support at national/regional meetings, local VIP labs, and Arthrex labs
  • Liaison between Veterinary Product Development and Regional Sales Team in developing new Veterinary products
  • Communicate procedural expertise, product understanding, and competitive market knowledge to sales and Veterinary product teams
  • Educate and train sales representatives and managers on new and existing products, surgical techniques, and sales tactics. Coordinate these activities with Clinical Project Manager or designee.
  • Work closely with the AVS Clinical Project Manager or Product Management on training at all levels (from residency and fellowships to attending surgeon level).
  • Provide assistance with product and prototype testing
  • Provide updates on competitive products and procedures and input on strategies to combat competition
  • Recommend ideas and promotions for increasing sales of new and existing products
  • Work closely with Director and Finance Department on the formulation of regional/agency quotas
  • Travel up to 75% annually out of local area and spend several days per month in Naples office as suggested by the Director.

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years sales experience with Arthrex or other company focused on Veterinary products is required

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Willing to work with cadaver specimens
  • Knowledge of a variety of orthopedic procedures, including but not limited to, arthroscopy, CCL reconstruction, arthroplasty, etc.
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results. 
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong relationship building skills desired.

    Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

    Microsoft Office, PC and various and specialized software. Cognos experience a plus.
