Main objective:           

The Marketing Operations System Analyst is responsible for the support and testing of the operational workflow for Marketing technology solutions, such as a Marketing Resource Management (MRM) system, Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, Issue Tracking software, and Project Management software.


  • Resolve Level 0 – 2 support tickets.
  • Collaborate with onsite and offsite technical support for issues, upgrades, etc.
  • Analyze, test and document the workflow and supporting features in the applications.
  • Responsible for software development life cycle for modifications in existing applications.
  • Participates in gathering user/customer functional requirements.
  • Project management for small to medium projects.
  • Analyze business process potentials for streamlining and improvements in efficiencies.
  • Mentor associate system analysts.
  • Apply test methodology, as well as business process and application knowledge, in the design of tests and testing strategies.   Based on business and functional requirements, identify testing scenarios and develop test cases to include test objective, pre-requisites, test steps, and expected results.
  • Execute planned and exploratory testing, utilizing manual test cases, to assure the quality of an application’s usability, functionality, security, and performance. Document actual test results and defects.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 3 years experience in supporting technologies required.
  • Experience in MRM and DAM preferred.
  • Experience in an issue tracking system, specifically JIRA preferred.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated company preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Knowledge of computer systems required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing principles preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing department workflows preferred.
  • Spanish and/or German language skills a plus.
  • Must be technologically creative by leveraging the features and capabilities of the toolkit to create solutions for business.
  • Project management and communication skills training preferred.
  • Ability to manage scope and understand project management concepts.
  • Ability to work under very general supervision.  Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
