Please note: This is a fulltime, summer internship that is not benefit eligible.

Main Objective:

Gain the skills necessary to create product identification labels and DFUs (Directions for Use) using various software applications.  The Intern will also learn the basics of a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.  Finally, the intern will become familiar with the gathering of product data attributes and the publishing of this data to an FDA database.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of label content prior to sending labels for approval.
  • Proof reading of English language versions of DFUs.
  • Eventual creation of product labels using our global labeling application.
  • Creating approval workflows and ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) for new labels and changes to existing labels.
  • Assist in the “cleansing” of data attributes prior to publishing to the FDA’s UDI database.
  • Creating ECOs for new and updated DFUs.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
