Main Objective:

To bring on a prospective Business, Information Systems, or Management Information Systems major and introduce them to the world of Information Technology within a dynamic fast pace Medical Device Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • IT Help Desk support, including addressing IT Footprints tickets and customer support.
  • Onboarding new employees, including building laptops and setting up appropriate monitors.
  • Continued set up and maintenance of Xerox printers.
  • Continued set up and maintenance of related IT Peripherals.
  • Review of current high priority IT Footprints tickets for Santa Barbara location.
  • Review and assistance in creating monthly IT Footprints ticket reports for Santa Barbara and Los Angeles locations.
  • Review and accurate tracking of IT inventory for Santa Barbara location.
  • Review of building related IT projects and expansion at Santa Barbara location.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in Business, Information Systems or Management Information Systems. Light hands on IT skills and knowledge, including troubleshooting, programming and customer service.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
