Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Working as an HR Data Analyst, you will support the Human Resources team with the creation of various reports utilizing SAP and other HR systems for budgeting and operational performance. This individual will also be the liaison between the Human Resources and Finance departments.  Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong MS office Excel and PowerPoint experience and a Bachelors’ degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related concentration will be essential for this position. This position will be located at our corporate office in Southwest Florida.

Main Objective:

The HR Data Analyst is responsible for the budgeting and creation of various reports utilizing SAP and other HR systems. Additionally, they will act as a liaison between the HR and Finance departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively gather, review and analyze data in order to finalize, prepare and provide recommendations for action.
  • Develop, coordinate and finalize required metrics and budgetary reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Create and maintain an HR dashboard, working with the HR and Finance management teams to capture the appropriate internal data, external benchmark data, and ultimate reporting format/timeline.  Work to institutionalize a process improvement mind-set which will allow for the proactive assessment of HR effectiveness and operational excellence.
  • Monitor data in SAP to ensure accuracy and data integrity.  Perform the maintenance of Organizational Units and their mapping to SAP cost centers.
  • Work in conjunction with Finance to quarterly/annually create headcount budgets and track variances.
  • Support the annual budget process by providing accurate position data, tracking unbudgeted positions, forecasting future cost/value and performing reconciliations to original plans.
  • Develop, perform and report on monthly, quarterly and annual analysis of all HR metrics (budget, turnover, hiring, efficiency, engagement, etc.)
  • Deploy reporting capabilities to automate manual activities, improve processes, and enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Reconcile and process monthly benefit invoices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Finance, Human Resources or related concentration required.
  • 5+ years’ experience or exposure working in an analytical role required; preferably with Human Resources data.
  • HRIS systems (SAP) experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Ability to work independently while also being able to work in a cross-functional team
  • Ability to tell a story with data – taking raw data from multiple HR sources in Excel and transforming it into presentable information
  • Ability to identify problems through financial, statistical and logic-based analysis, providing recommendations and/or solutions
  • Ability to create and track business results, ad-hoc and ongoing (monthly, quarterly, annually) with accuracy and expediency
  • Ability to quickly learn and synthesize new technologies with existing technologies
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, often working with competing demands, to synthesize data into meaningful insight in a pro-active and self-directed manner

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • PC, MS Office - Advanced MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (Pivot tables, lookup functions, advanced formulas and charting)

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
