Main Objective:

The Content Developer will be responsible for creating technical, and training material for Global Service & Repair technical teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Write, edit and coordinate technical bulletins, training materials, design documents, service manuals, repair guides and exploded parts diagrams for consistency, efficiency and effectiveness in overall technical message
  2. Designs and develops various learning materials, primarily eLearning, and use the Learning Management System (LMS) to manage eLearning content
  3. Works cross-functionally with SMEs from all areas of the organization to design and develop customized training programs and optimal formats for learning delivery
  4. Develop and maintain technical curriculum which supports the lifecycle of a global Field Service Representative; including baseline, new hire, new product, on-going.
  5. Develop and maintain training curriculum to support global distributor agreements.
  6. Develop training to support new product introductions.
  7. Modify existing training content to reflect product updates and meet evolving learning needs of a global audience.
  8. Standardize content across platforms and media
  9. Revise documents as new issues arise
  10. Coordinate professional narration of video scripts and source background music tracks and video clips as required.

Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS degree in a technical field, or instructional design required
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience required
  • Experience creating short- and long-form content required
  • Expertise in audiovisual technology and multimedia required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Strong management, time management, organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities and be self-directed.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, and to translate ideas into effective written communication.
  • Ability to organize highly-technical ideas, complex concepts and information into accurate, easy to understand story
  • Ability to work within a collaborative environment and within aggressive time frames.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Skilled at using multiple development tools: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, and any other instructional design software with LMS platforms/systems
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Minitab and Outlook
  • Knowledge of industry-specific technical software (AutoCAD, …) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with visual simulation development tools such as 3DS Max, Unity, SketchUp, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred
