This position will be located at the Arthrex manufacturing facility in Ave Maria, FL.

Main Objective:

The Business Analyst position works directly with business departments within Arthrex to build and manage a pipeline of technology projects and enhancements. A successful candidate must have experience defining and operating business processes in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations. The position liaises with the technical organization to determine the value added of specific projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate business goals and objectives into strategic business capabilities.
  • Benchmark current and future processes against best industry practices.
  • Develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives for enablement of new capabilities.
  • Engage in efforts to establish scope and business case for new programs and initiatives.
  • Deploy an appropriate methodology for the identification and documentation of business requirements.
  • Plan and manage user acceptance testing activities.
  • Accountable for adoption of solutions by sponsoring business departments.
  • Provide the methodology, standards and tools for efficient and effective program management.
  • Identify technical functionality that aligns with desired new business capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  • Up to 20% travel required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred
  • At least five years of relevant experience required, preferably within a Manufacturing or Engineering organization with business analysis or business process improvement experience required
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) software and manufacturing analytics preferred
  • Knowledge of computer software validation processes is a plus.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing process design preferred
  • Experience with SAP ECC Preferred
  • Experience with Lean and 6 Sigma Preferred
  • Industrial Engineering experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • In depth knowledge of several business functions and related software applications. SAP preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, ERP (SAP) and partner software applications.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
