Please note, this is a full-time summer internship that is not eligible for benefits.

Main Objective:

Support VIP team in generating pre-operative surgical plans, and prepare 3D printed Patient Specific Bone models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various projects.
  • After completing in-house training, use CT software to generate pre-operative surgical plans for the Arthrex VIP shoulder arthroplasty system.
  • Create CAD models for 3D printer.
  • Operating 3D printer to print, process, and ship 3D printed anatomical bone models.
  • Perform Quality Control procedures to ensure conformance.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
